Why not add a climbing adventure to your youth group's itinerary or plan a day of kayaking? The Rivermen offers many multi-day packages that combine a variety of sports including these and more. Choose from half or full-day tours in discovery hiking, wild caving, mountain biking, horseback riding and rappelling. It's all here at The Rivermen so don't miss out!

The New River Gorge area is becoming one of the most popular mountain biking areas in the country.  There are over a hundred miles of trails to choose from.  Whether you desire a mild or wild ride, we can arrange for either bike rentals or complete guided tours.  One of our most requested trips is the “Southside Junction” trail.  This trail, an old railroad bed, is a fairly easy trail suitable for beginners.  It allows you to follow the course of the New River from Thurmond to Cunard; along the way you will have opportunities to stop and walk along the river, or discover some of the ruins of “yesteryear” in the deserted coal mining towns, and the old railroad town of Thurmond is a great place to stop and explore.  Be sure to visit the Thurmond Railroad Depot Museum while you’re there.  We can even arrange to have the National Park Service give your group an “interpretative” tour of Thurmond with a 10-day advance notice.
